Why Mexico City?

Mexico City (CDMX) is massive, cultural, and one of the best food cities on earth. The historic center, Chapultepec Park, the floating gardens of Xochimilco, a thriving art scene, and tacos at 2am for $0.60 each. Don't believe the outdated reputation — it's incredible.

Mexico City FAQs

Is Mexico City safe for tourists?

The neighborhoods most travelers visit — Roma, Condesa, Polanco, Centro Histórico, Coyoacán — are very safe. CDMX is enormous; some outer areas are not for tourists. Use Uber exclusively.

What should I eat in Mexico City?

Everything. Tacos de canasta for breakfast ($0.30 each), chilaquiles at a mercado, mole at a restaurant in Centro, elotes from a street cart. CDMX has the best Mexican food in the world.

Is the altitude a problem in Mexico City?

CDMX is at 2,240m (7,350ft). Some people feel mild altitude sickness for 1–2 days. Hydrate well, avoid alcohol on day 1, and it passes quickly.
